Uchiki Kuri
Uchiki Kuri is a deep orange coloured squash variety. This original selection from Takii Seeds of Japan is a high yielding variety with a vigorous plant habit. Often referred to as Onion Squash due to its bulb shape, Uchiki Kuri looks somewhat like a small pumpkin. It is therefore used decoratively in conjunction with Halloween but the eating qualities should not be overlooked as the firm, creamy yellow flesh has a delicate, sweet and nutty taste.
